Who We Are
We are a small, family owned Pet Taxi business that has a proud history of animal transportation that goes back over 100 years to our great great Uncle Mark who was a licensed carter who transported poultry and small animals by horse and cart around Devon and Cornwall in early 1800s.
Professional Pet Transport Across The UK
Unlike some other carriers we do not do multidrops or carry mixed loads. We only ever go direct door to door which minimises travel times, reduces stress and ensures biosecurity. We truly care about your pets needs, and so we have chosen to specialise in transporting small pets around the UK, which means we can ensure your pets are cherished and loved, as if they were our own.
Our vehicle is purpose built and designed with your pets safely and comfort in mind. We hold a full type 2 Defra transport license, which is a legal requirement to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare during transportation, and should an emergency arise all of our drivers are trained in Pet first aid.
We can provide one way or round trip transportation to veterinarians, groomers, trainers, boarding establishments, airports, or any other place your pet needs to be. In addition we carry out long distance ground transport, hospital transfers, airport services and pet removals. Collection to and from port terminals can be arranged.
We also have a specialist Bird Transport Division- we can transport your hawks, owls and parrots wherever they need to go, securely in a purpose built travel box.
Meet The Team
We offer a VIP service for your pets. The welfare of our customers pets are our number one priority. Unlike many other pet transport companies we never pile them in and stack them high. All our customers have plenty of space to travel in our climate controlled vehicles. There is never any compromise and we treat them as our own until we deliver them safely to your hands in our door to door service.
Ian Mackenzie
Pet to Vets owner is Ian Mackenzie who has owned and loved pets a wide variety of pets over the last 40 years. Currently home is in rural Lincolnshire with two cats and an assortment of tropical and marine fish.
Having worked in the food industry for the last thirty years Ian took the decision to follow his passion and work for himself, creating an award-winning business from scratch – Pet to Vet, a specialist Pet Transport business three years ago.
Ian’s family history includes that of his Great Great Uncle who was a licensed carter who transported poultry and small animals by Horse and cart around Devon and Cornwall in early 1800s.
Ian is based in Sleaford and as well as covering the whole of the UK will do shorter vet trips in the sleaford and Lincoln area.
Suzanne | Pet Taxi UK
As a Dog Trainer since 1998 and an experienced lifetime animal handler Suzanne is able to offer a professional unrivalled service.
Suzanne has had all kinds of animals in her life including hamsters, terrapins, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, chicken, ducks, cats, dogs and horses. Animals have always and will always be a massive part of her life. To be working with animals ever day is a child hood dream come true.
Currently Suzanne is lucky enough to share her life with Four Golden Retrievers, Lizzie, Margo Ella and Elvis.
Graham | Pet Taxi UK
Graham has been around animals all his life and a dog owner for over 30 years. Graham was, until the beginning of 2014, running a very successful dog grooming business. Graham has a special affinity with all animals, in particular dogs. He left behind a lot of sad customers and dogs due to them having to find someone new. Their loss is our gain.
